JACKSONVILLE, FL · LOCAL MARKET GUIDE
Jacksonville SEO for a city the size of its county
Jacksonville is a city the size of a county because, in law, it nearly is one. The consolidated government covers almost all of Duval, two Navy installations sit inside the city line, the port moves most of the autos that cross Florida's seaports, and the fastest county growth in the state, by our analysis, is just south in St. Johns. This guide starts with that market, then the rules, the dates and the cost.

What changes when one city covers almost all of its county?
Almost everything about the map. Under the consolidated charter, in effect since 1968, the city's general services district "consists of the total territory within Duval County" (City of Jacksonville Charter, 2026). By our math, the city covers 98% of Duval's land (Census Gazetteer, 2025) and holds 95.7% of its residents (Census City Estimates, 2025). One city name spans what would be many towns elsewhere.
In total area the city measures 874.459 square miles, 747.33 of them land and 127.129 water (Census Gazetteer, 2025). By our sort of the same national file, only four places in Alaska are larger by total area, which makes Jacksonville the largest city by total area outside Alaska (Census Gazetteer, 2025). We say total area on purpose. Sorted by land alone, a county government in Kansas ranks ahead, and a claim that holds only on one measure should name the measure.
For scale, the City of Tampa has 114.487 square miles of land, Orlando 129.601 and Miami 35.997, so Jacksonville's land area is more than six times Tampa's (Census Gazetteer, 2025). The difference is not sprawl in the usual sense. When the charter took effect, the city and the county became one government, and the city limits moved out to the county line.
Four places kept governments of their own. The charter names Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and the Town of Baldwin as the second through fifth urban services districts (City of Jacksonville Charter, 2026). By Census Bureau estimates, all four have fewer residents than at their April 2020 base: Jacksonville Beach went from 23,833 to 23,615, Atlantic Beach from 13,511 to 13,245, Neptune Beach from 7,208 to 7,020 and Baldwin from 1,410 to 1,394 (Census City Estimates, 2025).
For a business, consolidation joins the paperwork and splits the search. The Duval County Tax Collector issues the local business tax receipt for Jacksonville, and a business in one of the four separate municipalities must also get that city's own receipt (Duval County Tax Collector, 2026). Search runs the other way: a single "Jacksonville" on a profile describes ground too wide for one location to serve evenly. In our practice, the honest answer is a page for each part of the county you genuinely work in, written about that part, rather than one city page asked to stand for all of it.

02 / 13
How big is the Jacksonville resident market, and who is in it?
Large, and younger than Florida. The city had 1,017,689 residents in July 2025, which by our sort makes it the 11th most populous city in the United States and the most populous in Florida (Census City Estimates, 2025). Its median age is 36.5 against 42.6 for the state, and 57.6% of its occupied homes are owner-occupied, by our math (Census American Community Survey, 2024).
Growth has been steady rather than sudden. The city added 68,082 people from its April 2020 base, a 7.17% gain, and by our sort that was the fifth-largest numeric gain of any US city, behind San Antonio, Fort Worth, Houston and Charlotte (Census City Estimates, 2025). It crossed one million between July 2023 and July 2024, rising from 996,221 to 1,009,370 (Census City Estimates, 2025). The ranking is close: Austin, next in line, trails by 15,057 people (Census City Estimates, 2025).
The household figures come from a different Census series, the five-year American Community Survey, so we keep them apart from the estimates above. The city has 394,370 households and a median household income of $69,872, below Florida's $74,568 and the national $80,734 (Census American Community Survey, 2024). Duval County as a whole is slightly older, with a median age of 36.9, and slightly higher in income, at $71,277 (Census American Community Survey, 2024).
Owners hold 227,054 of the city's 394,370 occupied homes, so about four in ten households rent, by our math (Census American Community Survey, 2024). In our reading, that makes landlords and property managers a real share of the people who order repairs and maintenance here, and a service page written only for homeowners misses them.
The metro is larger again. The five-county Jacksonville metro of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and Saint Johns counties had 1,785,500 residents in July 2025, the 38th-largest of 387 metro areas by our sort (Census Metro Estimates, 2025). By our math, the city alone is 57.0% of that metro (Census Metro Estimates, 2025), because its limits reach the county line.
03 / 13
Why is the region's fastest growth landing in St. Johns County, not Duval?
Because people moving from elsewhere in the country are choosing it. By our sort of Census estimates, Saint Johns County grew 26.66% from its 2020 base to 346,328 people in July 2025, the fastest rate among Florida's 67 counties (Census County Estimates, 2025). Of its 12,994 new residents in the latest year, 12,549 arrived through domestic migration (Census County Estimates, 2025).
Duval grew a different way. Between July 2024 and July 2025 it added 8,231 residents: births outnumbered deaths by 3,315, arrivals from abroad added 4,753, and net moves from the rest of the country added only 101 (Census County Estimates, 2025). Duval's growth that year came from its own births and from immigration, while its southern neighbor grew almost entirely on movers.
Taken together, the metro grew 11.19% from its 2020 base, the third-fastest of the 56 US metros with a million or more people, behind Austin and Raleigh, by our sort (Census Metro Estimates, 2025). Its latest-year gain of 26,153 included 17,360 net domestic movers and 5,416 international arrivals (Census Metro Estimates, 2025). Clay County is up 9.78% since 2020 and Nassau County 18.28% (Census County Estimates, 2025).
Builders show the same tilt. Duval authorized 6,017 housing units in 2025, including 3,732 single-family homes and 2,253 units in buildings of five or more, while Saint Johns County authorized 4,735, including 3,554 single-family homes (Census Building Permits Survey, 2025). Its single-family permits carried more reported value, $1,046,435,957 against Duval's $718,931,525, an average of $294,438 per home against $192,639 by our math (Census Building Permits Survey, 2025). Single-family permits fell about 27% in both counties from 2024 (Census Building Permits Survey, 2025).
The households differ too. The median household income in Saint Johns County is $109,839, 57% above the City of Jacksonville's $69,872 by our math, its median age is 44.2, and 82.2% of its occupied homes are owner-occupied (Census American Community Survey, 2024).
For a Jacksonville business the question is simply whether it serves those households. A contractor or home service company that genuinely works south of the county line should say so on pages of its own, community by community, with a service area that matches where its crews go. One that does not work there should not pretend to, and a thin page for a place you do not serve is, in our view, worse than none.
Duval veterans, by the Census count
A Navy city has the veterans to show it.
Veterans as a share of civilian adults 18 and over, 2020-2024 (places with 500,000+ civilian adults; our cutoff). Census American Community Survey, 2020-2024, table B21001
- “The cutoff of half a million civilian adults is our choice.”
- “The survey counts civilians aged 18 and over, so active-duty sailors are not in these numbers at all.”

What does it mean that most of Florida's seaport autos move through JAXPORT?
It means a logistics economy with its own buyers and its own vocabulary. In fiscal 2025, JAXPORT moved 506,237 automobiles and 1,388,841 TEUs, its own statistics show (JAXPORT, 2025). In the state's seaport plan those autos were about 80% of the 629,699 that moved through Florida's seaports, by our math, and the containers 32% of the state's TEUs (Florida Department of Transportation, 2026).
A TEU is a twenty-foot equivalent unit, so a forty-foot container counts as two. JAXPORT's fiscal year begins October 1, and its table for fiscal 2025 also counts 1,611 vessel calls and 200,548 embarking cruise passengers (JAXPORT, 2025). Container volume rose for a third straight year to 1,388,841 TEUs, still below the 1,407,310 of fiscal 2021, while autos stepped down from 616,215 in fiscal 2021 and have stayed between 505,665 and 509,091 in each year since fiscal 2023 (JAXPORT, 2025).
The work happens at named places. JAXPORT lists the Talleyrand Marine Terminal at 2085 Talleyrand Avenue, and at Blount Island, the port says, "Southeast Toyota Distributors operates a dedicated facility" (JAXPORT, 2025). Both terminals are inside the City of Jacksonville and appear on the map below.
The jobs data shows how far it reaches. Transportation and warehousing employs 46,417 people in Duval at 1.95 times the national share (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025). Deep sea, coastal and Great Lakes water transportation runs at 14.37 times the national share with 2,113 jobs, support activities for water transportation at 9.18 times with 3,204 jobs, and warehousing and storage at 2.24 times with 15,372 jobs (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025). JAXUSA's list of large employers estimates Amazon at 8,000, UPS at 4,500 and CSX, headquartered at 500 Water Street, at 2,530 (JAXUSA Partnership, 2026).
We print no tonnage figure for JAXPORT. The port's own table and the state plan report different totals, and neither explains the gap, so this guide uses containers and vehicles, where the two sources agree.
In our view, a trucking, repair, staffing or industrial supply business near the port is better served by a page that names the terminals it works at and the equipment and services it actually handles than by general consumer copy. The buyer here is a fleet manager, a broker or a warehouse operator, and a page should be written to that person.

What should Jacksonville firms take from a finance sector that is large but shrinking?
That concentration and growth are different things. Finance and insurance employed 42,881 people in Duval in 2025, 1.88 times the national share, yet the sector shrank 7.0% over the year and depository credit intermediation fell 12.1% (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025). It remains a large professional client base, and it is smaller than it was a year earlier.
Inside the sector, insurance carriers employ 10,160 people at 2.35 times the national share (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025). JAXUSA's list estimates Bank of America at 8,050 employees, Florida Blue at 5,700, Citi at 4,110 and JPMorgan Chase at 3,900 (JAXUSA Partnership, 2026). These are employment figures only, and nothing in this guide is advice about any insurance or financial product.
Across all employers, Duval averaged 561,407 jobs in 2025 at an average annual pay of $75,360, a change of -0.4% from 2024 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025). After health care, the largest private sectors were retail trade at 55,755 jobs, transportation and warehousing at 46,417, accommodation and food services at 45,804, finance and insurance, construction at 39,682, and professional, scientific and technical services at 38,826 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025).
Count businesses instead of jobs and the order changes. By our sort of the Census business file, professional, scientific and technical services had the most employer locations in Duval, 3,548, ahead of retail at 3,433, health care at 3,325 and construction at 3,171 (Census County Business Patterns, 2023). The county had 28,342 employer establishments in all, and 41 of them employed 1,000 or more people (Census County Business Patterns, 2023).
For accounting, legal, consulting and technology firms, that adds up to many competitors working a professional client base that is not growing in finance. Our advice is to show what a careful buyer would check, such as the named professionals, their licenses and a plain description of the work, and to point new pages at the industries that are adding jobs rather than those losing them. Our pages for financial services firms and law offices cover the mechanics.

Which hospitals, bases, campuses and terminals pull people across Duval County?
Health care leads. It is the largest private sector in Duval, with 90,473 jobs in 2025, and offices of physicians alone run at 2.14 times the national share with 23,126 jobs (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025). The map below pins 30 places at checked coordinates, from Mayo Clinic's Florida campus and the two Navy bases to the port terminals and the Beaches.
JAXUSA's list estimates Baptist Health at 15,000 employees, Mayo Clinic at 10,900, UF Health Jacksonville at 5,000 and HCA Florida Memorial at 4,300 (JAXUSA Partnership, 2026). Baptist Health says it was founded in 1955 and runs six hospitals and ten emergency centers (Baptist Health, 2026). UF Health Jacksonville says its trauma center opened in 1983 as Florida's first trauma program and has been verified as Level I since 2018 (UF Health Jacksonville, 2026).
Three campuses add a large student population. The University of North Florida enrolled 16,154 students in fall 2024, Florida State College at Jacksonville 23,556 across all its campuses, and Jacksonville University 4,247 (NCES College Navigator, 2025).
Jacksonville International Airport handled 7,573,168 passengers in the fiscal year that ended in September 2025, slightly fewer than the 7,647,916 of the year before (Jacksonville Aviation Authority, 2026). The authority says calendar 2024 was the busiest year in the airport's history, with more than 7.6 million passengers (Jacksonville Aviation Authority, 2025).
Some places with a Jacksonville name sit outside the city's government, and the home of THE PLAYERS is not in the county at all. By the Census Bureau's boundaries, the Jacksonville Beach Pier is in the City of Jacksonville Beach, and TPC Sawgrass is in Palm Valley, an unincorporated community in St. Johns County with a Ponte Vedra Beach mailing address. That decides which tax receipt, sign code and contractor rules apply to a business there.
One correction from the earlier version of this page: the Downtown pin now sits at James Weldon Johnson Park beside City Hall, at the center of the Northbank core, rather than on the Florida State College at Jacksonville campus 680 meters to the north.

What did Irma's river flooding teach Jacksonville, a city it never hit directly?
That the river can flood the city when the storm comes ashore somewhere else. Irma made landfall in the Florida Keys and then southwestern Florida, yet the National Hurricane Center reports that the river "set record flood stages at many locations in Duval County," and that hundreds of people were rescued in the Jacksonville area (NHC Irma report, 2026).
Flood water "reached up to 5 ft deep in some locations," and the report attributes the flooding along the river's banks to "a combination of storm surge and rainfall runoff into the river" (NHC Irma report, 2026). The gauge at the I-295 bridge peaked at 5.3 feet above mean higher high water and the one at the Southbank Riverwalk downtown at 4.9 feet (NHC Irma report, 2026). The report calls Irma responsible for "one of the worst flooding events in the city's 225+ year history" (NHC Irma report, 2026).
Jacksonville International Airport recorded a 75-knot gust, and two people drowned in freshwater flooding in Duval County (NHC Irma report, 2026). The report gives no dollar figure for damage in Jacksonville or Duval, so neither does this guide.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and its climatological peak is September 10, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October (NHC climatology, 2026). A storm that never makes landfall nearby can still push the river into streets and businesses, which is the lesson Irma left.
For a business the practical steps are plain. Storm-season pages belong online in spring, well before a watch is issued. Hours and service status should change on every listing the same day a storm changes them. And a contractor working after a flood should make its license number, its real address and its recent local jobs easy to verify, without manufactured urgency in the copy.

Which dates move Jacksonville demand, and which events leave town in 2027?
The visitor curve is shallow, so specific dates matter more than a season. By our reading of the Placer.ai report Visit Jacksonville publishes, trips from 50 or more miles away ran roughly 650K to 950K a month, dipping in September and January (Visit Jacksonville, 2026). Stadium construction also moves the Florida-Georgia game away in 2026 and 2027 and the Jaguars to Orlando for 2027.
The same report counts 9.6M trips to the city in 2025, 6.4M of them overnight, and its top origin market was Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne with 1.6M trips, ahead of Tampa-Saint Petersburg at 701.1K and Tallahassee-Thomasville at 550.8K (Visit Jacksonville, 2026). All three top origins are elsewhere in Florida or just across the Georgia line.
March brings THE PLAYERS Championship. The 2027 tournament week runs March 9 to 14 at TPC Sawgrass, with competition rounds March 11 to 14 (PGA TOUR, 2026). The course is in St. Johns County, not in Jacksonville, and JAXUSA's list places PGA TOUR, Inc. in Ponte Vedra Beach with an estimated 3,300 employees (JAXUSA Partnership, 2026).
In May, the city's free Jacksonville Jazz Festival returned to Downtown over Memorial Day weekend, May 21 to 24, 2026, with its main stage at Ford on Bay, 288 East Bay Street (City of Jacksonville, 2026). The city had not published 2027 dates when we checked.
Fall is football, with changes. The 2026 Florida-Georgia game is in Atlanta on October 31 (Florida Gators, 2026), and the schools' plan, as the University of Florida's athletics site put it, is that they "will play in Atlanta in 2026, followed by Tampa in 2027, and then back to Jacksonville at least through 2031" (Florida Gators, 2024). The Jaguars say the game returns once the Stadium of the Future opens in 2028 (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026).
EverBank Stadium's capacity is cut to 42,465 for the 2026 season, and its 2026 Jaguars home dates are September 13, September 27, November 1, November 29, December 14 and a Week 17 game still to be scheduled (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026). Two more 2026 home games were played in London in October. For 2027, NFL owners approved a one-year lease for the Jaguars to use Camping World Stadium in Orlando, and the rebuilt stadium's grand opening is set for August 2028 (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026). The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl is at EverBank Stadium in December 2026, then moves to Gainesville for the 2027-28 game (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026).
By these sources, 2027 brings no Jaguars home games and no Florida-Georgia game to Jacksonville. We will not guess at the effect on any one business. We would make sure that every page and listing that mentions a game day is updated before the season, not left describing an event that moved.
One date is administrative. Local business tax receipts run from October 1 to September 30, renewal opens July 1, and a late renewal draws a 10% penalty for October plus 5% for each later month, up to 25% (Duval County Tax Collector, 2026).

Why must a Jacksonville contractor letter its trucks when Florida does not require it?
Because the city's code goes further than the state's. Florida law says its advertising rule does not create "a mandatory vehicle signage requirement" (Florida Statutes 489.119, 2026). Jacksonville's Chapter 342 says every contractor doing business in the city "shall identify all trucks and vans," with its name and state number "in at least two locations in at least two-inch letters" (Jacksonville Contractor Code, 2026). This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice.
The same section requires the state certification or registration number "in advertising to the public in a newspaper, airwave transmission, telephone directory or by issuance of a card or otherwise" (Jacksonville Contractor Code, 2026). That list predates the web, and the code does not name websites. State law already requires the number "in each offer of services, business proposal, bid, contract, or advertisement, regardless of medium" (Florida Statutes 489.119, 2026), so we put it on every page and listing we build for a contractor.
A specialty contractor that no state board registers uses its locally assigned certificate number instead, and advertising as a contractor without a current certificate is unlawful (Jacksonville Contractor Code, 2026). Local certificates run through the Construction Trades Qualifying Board, which the chapter names in its definitions. We did not review the list of trades the board certifies or the chapter's fee and penalty sections.
Every business also needs a Local Business Tax Receipt. The Duval County Tax Collector says the tax applies to most businesses, "including home-based and one-person operations," and a business in Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach or the Town of Baldwin also needs that city's own receipt (Duval County Tax Collector, 2026). Contractors must show their state certification when they apply. A home-based business is exempt from the city's certificate of use under state law but still needs the receipt, while a new or expanding commercial location needs a certificate of use as well.
There is no single fee. The tax is set by business classification under two chapters of the Ordinance Code, a county business tax and a municipal one, and the municipal chapter, for example, lists an advertising or trade inducement company at "$300.00 a year" (Jacksonville Business Tax Code, 2026). A receipt can move between locations or owners for a $6 transfer fee (Duval County Tax Collector, 2026). Apply through the Tax Collector's own site, taxcollector.jacksonville.gov; an older web address once associated with the office now forwards to an unrelated site, so we do not link it.

What may a Jacksonville sign advertise, and where may it stand?
Only what is sold or done on the property where it stands, if it can be seen from off the lot. Jacksonville's sign code makes an off-site commercial message "unlawful and a class D offense," and a sign structure that breaks the section is "declared to be contraband and forfeited to the City" (Jacksonville Sign Code, 2026). This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice.
Projected signs are limited as well. Light, laser beams or any other medium used to put text, graphics or logos onto streets, walls, water and similar surfaces are prohibited, except that an owner may project a sign onto his or her own property (Jacksonville Sign Code, 2026). In residential districts, "Roof signs, neon signs, changing message devices and strip lighting are prohibited," which matters to anyone running a business from home.
One rule works in a business's favor. A business hindered by government road work may display "up to two temporary directional business signs," which must be removed within ten days of completion (Jacksonville Sign Code, 2026). Downtown has its own sign overlay zone, and so does the sports and entertainment complex around the stadium; we did not review what either one adds.
The City Council's findings say "mobile billboards create aesthetic blight and visual clutter." We found that finding but not the operative rule and its section number, so this guide does not say what the code bans for vehicles. The contractor rule above still requires a contractor's trucks and vans to carry its name and number.
These rules apply inside the consolidated City of Jacksonville. Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Baldwin have codes of their own, and window sign and banner limits sit in district regulations we did not open, so check those before you order a sign there. A sign that advertises only what happens on its own lot also keeps the street, the listing and the page describing the same place.

What does SEO cost across a county-sized city, and how fast does it move?
Most Jacksonville campaigns run $1,200 to $3,500 per month (SEO Elite Agency, 2026). A campaign that covers several parts of the county, the Beaches and St. Johns communities, or a contested professional field typically costs more. We quote only after a free audit, bill month-to-month, and ask for no long-term contract.
Price follows scope: the number of separate places a business needs pages for, how crowded its field is, how much technical repair the site needs, and how many locations need a profile of their own. A single shop in Avondale and a contractor serving Duval, Clay and St. Johns are different jobs, and they are priced as different jobs.
The clock depends on the same things. Easier, less contested terms often move within 60 to 90 days, the map pack within three to four months, and lead volume within four to six months. Contested fields such as law, health care and home services usually need six to twelve months to hold first-page positions. A business that adds the Beaches or a county to the south adds pages that mature on their own schedule.
We report calls, form leads and revenue that your CRM or call tracking ties to organic search. We will never guarantee a ranking or an AI citation, because nobody controls what Google or ChatGPT shows. Our SEO pricing packages page shows how an engagement is scoped, and our local SEO, Google Business Profile and GEO and AI search pages describe the work itself.

Which Jacksonville businesses earn back an SEO budget soonest?
Usually the ones selling high-value work into a large local market. Construction employs 39,682 people in Duval and health care 90,473 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2025), and construction counts 3,171 employer locations (Census County Business Patterns, 2023). Contractors, medical practices and professional firms sell jobs worth enough that a modest number of new clients can repay a monthly fee.
For the trades, our separate guides go deeper than a city page can: roofing contractors, plumbing companies, HVAC companies, pest control companies, builders and general contractors and multi-trade home service companies. In Jacksonville each also carries the city's truck-lettering rule, so the number on the truck, the site and the profile should match.
Two trades follow this market's geography. Marine contractors work along a river and coast shared by the port, two Navy bases and the Beaches, and water damage restoration companies work in a county where Irma's flooding reached up to 5 ft deep in some locations (NHC Irma report, 2026). Both should write about the waterways and neighborhoods they actually serve.
For professional firms, the job data points to health care and to the professional services that hold the most business locations in the county. Our pages on health care practices, law offices, real estate and financial firms cover what each field needs, and each rests on names and licenses that a reader can look up.
For a low-ticket purchase made on impulse, search work rarely repays a monthly fee, and we say so before anyone signs. We are based at 1950 Mayfair Street in Naples, with no Jacksonville office, and we would rather tell you that than invent one.

Questions
What owners ask us first.
Jamie Kloncz · SEO Elite Agency, Naples
No. We are based in Naples, at 1950 Mayfair Street, Suite 313, and we would rather say so than rent a mailbox and call it an office. Your Jacksonville rankings rest on your own address, your reviews and your pages, and that is where our work goes.

Yes. The Duval County Tax Collector says businesses in Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach or the Town of Baldwin must also obtain a municipal local business tax from that city, on top of the county receipt (Duval County Tax Collector, 2026). This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice.
Jamie Kloncz · SEO Elite Agency, Naples
The Tax Collector lists an exemption for honorably discharged veterans, documented with a DD-214 or a Florida license with the "Veteran" designation, and says exemptions do not apply until a completed Business Tax Exemption form is submitted (Duval County Tax Collector, 2026). Ask the office which form fits your situation; this is a summary, not legal advice.

Inside the City of Jacksonville, yes. The city code requires every contractor doing business in the city to mark all trucks and vans with its name and state certification or registration number in at least two places, in letters at least two inches high (Jacksonville Contractor Code, 2026). State law alone does not require vehicle lettering. This is a summary, not legal advice.

No. The 2026 game is in Atlanta on October 31 (Florida Gators, 2026), the 2027 game is in Tampa, and the series returns to Jacksonville once the rebuilt stadium opens in 2028 (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026). Pages that promote a game-day offer in Jacksonville for those two years would be describing an event that is not there.

In Orlando, at Camping World Stadium, under a one-year lease the NFL owners approved, while EverBank Stadium is rebuilt; the rebuilt stadium's grand opening is set for August 2028 (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026). For 2026 the stadium's capacity is reduced to 42,465 (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2026).
Jamie Kloncz · SEO Elite Agency, Naples
No. By the Census Bureau's boundaries the course is in Palm Valley, an unincorporated part of St. Johns County, and Ponte Vedra Beach is its mailing address. THE PLAYERS Championship runs there March 9 to 14, 2027 (PGA TOUR, 2026). A business in Duval that serves tournament week should say where it is, not imply it is at the course.

No. We work month-to-month, so if the work stops producing calls and revenue you can leave. Every engagement starts with a free audit, and you can reach us at [email protected].
About this guide
How this guide was researched
We rebuilt this guide in October 2026 from primary sources: Census Bureau population, survey, business, permit and boundary files; Bureau of Labor Statistics county employment data; the City of Jacksonville Charter and Ordinance Code; the Duval County Tax Collector; the Navy's installation pages; JAXPORT and the state seaport plan; the airport authority; the National Hurricane Center; and the teams, the tournament and the visitor bureau. Every figure was opened at its source on the date in the source list.
Where one subject has two official numbers, we pick one and name it. Census population estimates and the five-year American Community Survey never share a sentence; the employer headcounts come from a single JAXUSA list and are labeled as its estimates; and the port figures are containers and vehicles, where the port and the state agree. "By our math" and "by our sort" mark our own arithmetic on a primary table, and the 500,000-adult cutoff in the veteran comparison is our choice.
Landmark pins come from OpenStreetMap, checked against Wikidata and each owner's published address. The municipality shown on each pin is what the Census Bureau's geocoder returns at those coordinates, not a mailing address.
What this guide does not claim
- Client results. We publish no client metrics we cannot show you with the client's permission.
- A Navy headcount from the Navy. The installation pages give none, so the headcounts here are JAXUSA estimates, labeled as such.
- A JAXPORT tonnage figure. The port and the state seaport plan report different totals without explaining why.
- JAXPORT's economic impact study and Visit Jacksonville's 2024 economic impact study. Both are modeled estimates, and the visitor study measures visitors differently from the Placer.ai report this guide uses.
- An older JAXUSA county profile whose employer counts differ from the regional list used here.
- A dollar figure for Irma damage in Jacksonville. The hurricane report gives none.
- A typical local business tax fee. The tax is set by classification, and no single amount describes it.
- Whether the city treats a website or a Google Business Profile as advertising under its contractor code. The code does not say.
- THE PLAYERS attendance, 2027 Jazz Festival dates and a named peak tourist season. No primary source we opened published them.
- The earlier version's line that the city passed one million people "without annexing anything." We found no source for it.
- Drive times and distances from our office. We are in Naples, and the distance has no bearing on your rankings.
- Insurance coverage advice and legal advice. The rules above are summaries with links to their sources.
Update log
- : Rebuilt as a Duval County market guide: consolidation, residents, St. Johns growth, the Navy and veterans, JAXPORT, finance and office jobs, the anchor map, Irma, the calendar, and the city's contractor, tax and sign rules. The Florida-Georgia and Jaguars dates now reflect the stadium rebuild; the Navy employer line is attributed to the Navy; the Downtown pin moved to James Weldon Johnson Park; the unsourced annexation line, the drive route and the third-party AI search statistics were removed.
- : Previous version (Jacksonville SEO services page).
